An East Tennessee man died during one of the many raids of a religious compound in Waco, Texas back in 1993.
With frigid temperatures for much of East Tennessee, one family took advantage of the chilly temps and built an ice rink for the kids!
2017 was above average in temperature as well. There were ups and downs all throughout the year, with a few severe storms that blew through the region in early May causing widespread damage. This is a review of the weather East Tennessee witnessed all throughout 2017.
Volunteers have been flooding in as well as donations for victims of the Sevier County wildfires. Families who have lost everything can come to the Rotary Center in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. to pickup food supplies, clothing, toys and pet food to keep families from going hungry.
The volunteers have been from Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Pennsylvania… Some even coming by during their Christmas vacation just to help give to those in need.
Roy Helton, director of the Rotary Center, has been assisting dozens of families as they begin to recover from the devastation of the wildfires.
Veterans living at Clover Hill Senior Living in Maryville, Tenn. received quilts for their service. Thanks to the VFW Post 10855, thirteen veterans received these handmade quilts. This is a social video that gives the viewer a glance at the spread of Christmas joy.

Robin Wilhoit and Madison Wade were the ones to go across East Tennessee to find more information on who is purchasing and living in these homes as well as who is creating them.

Two juveniles have been arrested for aggravated arson in connection to the Chimney Tops 2 fire. Gatlinburg and Pittman Center both are recovering from the wildfires in Sevier County.
This social video was to let people know that their belongings and possessions can be replaced, but human lives are irreplaceable.
